Public servants have won my heart over since I started doing contracting with the government nearly 5 years ago. All the bullshit lies I believed (yet never validated) of laziness and incompetence were immediately debunked.
Most of the #PublicServants I’ve had the pleasure of collaborating with are some of the smartest, most passionate, driven workers I’ve met. And you’re not showing up for flashy pay or glitzy titles. It’s hard effing work done, day in and day out. Mostly thankless work.
Not perfect, but damn good people. Doing work is average Americans have take extremely for granted.
My appreciation for you is likely equivalent to a single raindrop on a day where eggs fry on sidewalks. Still, I come with hopes of offering any solace I can during this storm.

Federal #law enforcement has recorded a “deeply disturbing spike” in #threats against government workers & public servants in recent months, #USAG #MerrickGarland told reporters Fri.
This week alone, ofcls are investigating #BombThreats that forced evacuations at several courthouses & state capitols across the country. The AG said federal ofcls also arrested & charged a man for threatening to kill a congressman & his children.
“& that the passing of notes from a judge to a #LawClerk, or vice-versa, constitutes an improper ‘appearance of impropriety’ in this case. These arguments have no basis.”

“Singling out individual career #PublicServants who are just doing their jobs is dangerous — particularly at a time of increased threats to the #safety of public servants & their #families,” #Garland said.
