Unlike what the author says, democracy did suddenly disappear once #Trump was re-elected.

But, there is plenty to agree as well.

Like, this could not have happened without the connivance of the #Democratic Party —

#Republican hate & fear-mongering goes back a bit further than #Fox.

If I were to pinpoint a specific year/person, it would be 1994 when #NewtGingrich went scorched-Earth to destroy the #Democratic Party in order to win back control of the house after 40 years.

Before that, Dem Speaker of the House Tip O'Neil was good friends with Reagan. The two Parties actually worked together.

The #GOP then embraced #Evangelicals and they went to war.

The nations that has been able to exploit earth resources is now demanding even more resources. #Putin and #Trump is aggressive towards neighboring countries and allies because they want their resources . #China uses not so obvious or violent tactics but they are also exploiting weaker nations.

The countries that now is on top of the resource chain demands even more. It is not #sustainable and a common denominator is the lack of #democratic control.

But we don’t live there anymore. We live in a country where the fed govt allies itself w/Russian & South American #dictators while taking sides against #democratic #allies. A country that threatens its neighbors w/annexation. A country that views the #GenevaConventions as namby-pamby suggestions that only apply to suckers & losers. A country that uses #SecretPolice.

And perhaps most importantly, a country where the regime no longer abides by rulings from the existing #legal system.
