"But as the show's daters face challenges meant to test their bonds, as well as elimination by villa mates or by fans' vote, notions of who is and isn't desirable frequently come up for viewers and contestants alike. In the end, many fans are left with the perception that racial bias, colorism and misogyny are especially inescapable for Black women on reality dating shows."

#Eugenics, racism & ableism define the Republican Party now.

For >10 years, the 2014 Obama-era targets led to more hiring of disabled employees, countering wage & employment gaps & bringing disabled workers more economic independence. That’s likely to change.

On July 1,🚨the #DOL introduced a proposed rule that'd end the disability hiring goal for fed contractors & the practice of collecting info about it.

The thing about illegal discrimination is that most of the time the people doing it aren't going to come right out and say that's what they are doing. Most of the time you have to rely in circumstantial evidence to know it's happening. And the problem with that is there's always plausible deniability and no one really believes you and refuse to investigate it when you complain. #civilrights #discrimination

That Segal was reportedly the "Captain's pick" is a worry. That Albanese had to be nudged to appoint a similar advocate for our Islamic community, perhaps more so.

click.actionnetwork.orgVeterans Affairs reject denying care to veterans. Recently, a new executive order from President Trump prompted the Department of Veterans Affairs to remove long-standing civil rights protections from its policies. Language that once safeguarded veterans and staff from discrimination based on political affiliation, marital status, or national origin has been stripped from medical bylaws across the VA system. These changes open the door to care being denied or jobs lost based on personal belief, identity, or political affiliation. That undermines the very foundation of what the VA stands for. Veterans fought for a country that promised to care for them in return. That promise cannot depend on who they voted for, who they love, or whether their doctor shares their political views. We, the undersigned, are calling on the Department of Veterans Affairs to uphold its mission: to provide care and support to all who have served this country, without political interference, discrimination, or fear of retaliation. Add your name to demand that the VA remain a place of care, not political control. To: Secretary Douglas Collins, U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs As a veteran yourself, Secretary Collins, you understand the weight of that promise. We urge you to: Restore and publicly reaffirm non-discrimination protections in VA policy. Ensure that no veteran is denied care because of politics, identity, or belief. Protect VA workers from ideological loyalty tests and politically motivated firings. The VA was built to honor service, not to serve partisanship. We call on you to defend its integrity. Signed,
