This is a #MoralMoment#CoryBooker

We need a broad coalition with civic solidarity, not just solidarity within racial or other groups targeted by haters.

If #Trump and #Musk have riled up SO MANY AMERICANS in just the first 100 days, they've #AwakenedASleepingGiant ✊

⬆️ >>>> The protests were not perfect. Anecdotally and observationally, they were very #white—not exactly representative of the #Democratic coalition.

>> Might that be because #POC are more likely to be arrested than #white people during protests?

⬆️ >> Contrary to dark right-wing fantasy, the protesters were there of their own volition — to defend American #democracy out of sense of #patriotism — not in fact because they were being paid by liberal billionaire George #Soros. Ironically, this false claim… been promoted by #Musk, the mega #billionaire who literally pays people to show up at his political rallies, where he sorta-randomly doles out million-dollar checks.

#Cops Tracked An Alleged Tesla Arsonist Using The Suspect’s #Car #WiFi
Cops used tower dumps to track not only suspect’s phone but also #vehicle. Detectives asked Verizon, T-Mobile, and AT&T to send information on all connecting devices to six relevant towers. They saw a Verizon BlueLink onboard Wi-Fi system had pinged two of the towers. According to a complaint against the eventual suspect investigators believe the BlueLink was inside his Hyundai.

@ProPublica #Cops can't be trusted in any way, shape or form. Every cop must have their body cam video and audio enabled at all times, even in the bathroom. Every cop must keep their firearms unloaded and stored in a lock box in the trunk. Every cop convicted of violations of law must forfeit their pensions. Every cop cannot be trusted, ever.

Arresting officers realize they can lie to secure confessions. Senior officers know they can exaggerate to lobby for bigger budgets. For some, a form of “noble cause corruption” is at play—a sense that any means will justify the ends of securing social order and making sure the bad guys go to jail.
