Rep. Ro Khanna: "I am sick of the tired platitude that for an ally like Israel we must not disagree publicly or in the media. Not when there is mass starvation in Gaza. This is the time for every American to speak up publicly. PM Netanyahu, let in the food, medicine, and aid. We must not be complicit."

Human rights are for everyone.

No, dignity is not conditional.

No, your worth is not decided by your gender, race, income, ability, identity, age, or beliefs.

No, justice should not be reserved for the privileged few.

No one is “less than.”

You are human. That alone is enough to deserve safety, respect, equality, and freedom.

Every person. Every place. Every time.

As the numbers of peaceful protesters under the Terrorism Act for 'supporting' proscribed group Palestine Action approach 200, and the Supreme Court hears a challenge to the proscription itself, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights believes the proscription violates international law....

If so this may shape how the Supreme Court decides, as well as opening up another line of challenge to Yvette Cooper's anti-democratic actions.

Jasmine El-Gamal: "Very interesting timing from Macron on France recognizing the State of Palestine. This announcement does three things:
1-Gives the July 28 Saudi-French conference on the 2SS legs, show it’s not a joke,
2-Encourages others to get on board during UNGA in September, and
3-Pile the pressure on the UK to do the same since PM Starmer’s been dragging his feet, despite pressure from his own party."

This is part of a detailed confession by John Pavlovitz: "I confess that the Woke Mind Virus has left me empathetic toward suffering, welcoming of diversity, generous toward those with less, allergic to discrimination, sickened by bigotry, and intolerant of intolerance":
