Two 19-year old Mexican camp counselors protected the 20 Camp Mystic girls under their care. Mexico sent rescue workers to Texas before the Texas government. Love, tolerance, and inclusion wins.
All while US Republicans revel at the idea of alligators snacking on 65 million Latino-Americans escaping from the concentration camp they're putting them in. While 80% of 10 million Israelis call for the extermination of an entire race of 5 million people living on the land Israel has colonized, based on their ethnic origin. Openly calling out for the deaths of their offspring so that their offspring cannot create offspring. Also while Ukrainian children are being kidnapped into Russian camps where they have their ethnicity and culture stripped from them as Indigenous children had done to them in residential schools in the Americas. This is ethnic cleansing.
It is time that we must choose our sides now, if we stand on the side of hate and division, or on the side of love and inclusion. There is no longer an in-between, and apathy is complicity.

Israel feels they have achieved the goal of convincing the most powerful world leaders that 5 million Palestinians are evil and require ethnic cleansing. They didn't convince the world, only the leaders, but that's all they need. Now their goal is to convince them that 90 million Iranians are evil and need to be destroyed. It's not going to end until all of the Arab and adjoining populations are gone.

These populist movements are easily subverted by the wealthy and manipulated into targeting outgroups within the population instead of those who created the problem. The greater the hatred and bigotry, the better the situation becomes at distracting from the root cause. It is divide and conquer, plain and simple.

#hate only consumes. it must always find more and more to consume
so many of those who think they are in the inner circle according to the standards of their #bigotry and are therefore safe from the cruelty and abuse are really only saying "i want to learn what hate is the hard way"
so that's the #usa now
one big simple dumb object lesson for the stupid and evil to learn something through suffering that many of us, most of us, already understand
