Starmer isn't for turning though, he'd rather die than see us back in the EU, he may want 'Growth' but not if it means being an equal in Europe, much better to be a vassal to Gilead.

He won't throw Fishermen under the bus but he will the NHS.

And that's the end of the debate on the matter.

He says that did not work in the past (during the Brexit process, he means). Fish is an issue because the UK-EU post-Brexit trade deal involved the UK giving European fleets better-than-expected access to UK waters. But those concessions were time-limited and need to be renegotiated. It has been claimed that President Macron is blocking a UK-EU security deal (that would give British manufactuers the right to pitch for orders from a new €150bn defence fund) until he gets assurances that French fishermen will be protected.
