I was made redudant from my first #SoftwareEngineering job at a start up a few months back. I have been doing a couple of freelance jobs here and there but I prefer the stability of something more long term.
I am looking for a #remote position within Spain.
3 years experience as a web app #FullStackDeveloper in #javascript with #React #NextJS #MongoDB #GraphQL
I have a little experience with Vue and mySQL too.
Currently learning #Typescript and looking to start a web accessibility course in the summer.
I have been described as "product minded and user focused".

This quote about #graphql very much applies to a lot of the "modern" #javascript ecosystem. It's a good illustration of how concerns change when you become responsible for your code. Mind boggling!

"as the years have gone on and I have had the opportunity to deploy to environments where non functional requirements like security, performance, and maintainability were more of a concern"

bessey.devWhy, after 6 years, I’m over GraphQLGraphQL is an incredible piece of technology that has captured a lot of mindshare since I first started slinging it in production in 2018. You won’t have to ...

💥 It's time for Changelog & Friends!

@jerod is back with another “It Depends” episode! 🤔

This time he’s joined by Kris Brandow from @gotime and they’re talking all things API design:

What makes a good API?
Is GraphQL a solid choice?
Why do we do REST wrong?
And WTF does HATEOAS mean, anyway?

Apollo iOS Codegen will be using Swift Concurrency as of v1.7.0 (currently in Beta). This could considerably speed up build times for users, particularly for apps with large schema. Give it a try and give us feedback! Also note that if you're importing ApolloCodegenLib in Swift, you'll need to update your call sites now that ApolloCodegenLib.build uses async/await github.com/apollographql/apoll

💻 Both #TypeScript & #GraphQL are very straight forward.

TypeScript reminds me of waaay back when I first built my Schematics library for Python.

GraphQL is also quite similar to what NYC startups were doing around 2010-2012, but it is a formal specification of what many of us did ad hoc per client.

Up next: the other layers of RedwoodJS.

🔎👨‍💻 I have consulting availability and am looking to connect on a new project.

My current skills/interests include #Elixir, #Phoenix, #LiveView, #Svelte, #SvelteKit, event sourcing, and #GraphQL. #MyElixirStatus

My superpowers include detailed project management alongside team support and mentoring.

📣 I'm interviewing developers who use Apollo Client, Apollo iOS, or Apollo Kotlin! If you have 45-60 mins & like $25 Amazon Gift Cards, please reply/DM. I'm interested in learning why you're using #GraphQL, what you like about your client library, and how we can improve 🙏🏻
