Yes, just as Pearson needed Douglas as a team to make Canada out of the Dominion, NDPs Singh has insisted on the introduction and expansion of both Pharmacare and Dental care.

Carney has since expanded Dental care, and cites them both as intrinsic to Canada.

Canada is wonderful and eager to get better, far from perfect. Your clarity on the front lines is ample reason to vote NDP and look forward hopefully to a new partnership.

Pearson Douglas

Hey Yeg Peeps,
Trisha Estabrooks phoned me today. I'm convinced she will make a great MP, one who will represent Edmonton Center with an eye on affordability and Canadian sovereignty. We *need* more women like Trisha in Parliament.
But the long & short of it: it's really expensive fighting the foreign bots, the trolls & the threats (women politicians are more frequently targeted), and the right wing are richer. You can help her campaign here:

Liberals attacking Jagmeet is how they once used to hope to get a majority.

They should stop this year. Its ugly, and kinda racist. And not necessary.

Carney isnt fighting the healthcare demands that Jagmeet forced Trudeau into, in fact, Carney cited NDP Dental Care and Pharma Care as "intrinsic to who Canada is" and even EXPANDED dental care, two days ago.

It is beginning to feel a lot like a Pearson / Tommy Douglas time of year.

I'm voting #NDP

Ooof... and on cue a Mainstreet poll just came in, and it set a new low for the NDP at 7%. The Liberals gain from both the CPC and NDP. It's hard to imagine Nanos, when they come in this week, will not show something lower than the 16% they had.

That's a punch in the gut for the NDP but these are all still pre-election call polling so there is opportunity for recovery.

Why eggs are cheap, plentiful in Canada

1 US Agri-corporations killing the family farm.

2 Agri-corporations are millions of chickens, sickness in one wipes out millions of chickens.

3. Canadian farms are better, tighter, cleaner, smaller. 👈

4. Disease and health are weapons of right wing political subversion in the US (and Alberta)

If NDP supporters are looking for a glimmer of hope in the polling numbers, look at the “A” classed polls listed here:

338canada.com/polls.htm

The party bottomed out at 8% in a Mainstreet (A+) poll twelve days ago just after Carney was picked as Liberal leader but two days later a Nanos (A) poll had them at 16%. That is a huge discrepancy.

The NDP got 15.98% (25 seats) in the 2021 election.

Most recently Ipsos (A) and Abacus (A-) have the NDP at 10% on the 16th and 12% on the 19th.

Mainstreet and Nanos will have new polls this week. If the numbers continue in the 10-15% range, then the doom and gloom which the media is amplifying should dissipate.

It is also worth remembering that the Liberals and Conservatives got 33% and 34% vote share respectively last election.

Rutledge makes a demeaning comment towards people who take the bus, while representing big oil and saying.

Rutledge is a very useful mop to #ndp’s Marion (last name…?)

Once again, the conservatives are full maga, from the messagibg to the psychology, and the smarts - which are clearly dishonestly lacking in the context of an #election.

I just trolled around the four English party websites.
I will avoid completing their address so one doesn’t get previewed but here they are fyi:

Conservative. Ca
Liberal. Ca
NDP. Ca
Green Party.Ca

Interesting differences.

The #cpc have no candidates listed. Only messages from Dear Leader, and it’s sparse. Mostly just his transcribed words. The ironic part is I have seen door hangers for the CPC candidate in my riding, but no idea what his name is. If it is anything like the provincial election, I expect MASSIVE CPC signage in my riding. It didn’t work provincially… we’ll see what happens now.

The #LPC have many candidates listed and ready, lots of content. No one mentioned for my riding. (They are not generally a contender)

The #NDP has almost all candidates listed but ironically, not mine even though I just received a sign, but the site is ready with similarly lots of content.

The #GPC has only a handful of candidates, but our local candidate @chrismarkevich is listed.

With such an incredibly short campaign there will not be much time for parties to fill out the details. No doubt everyone will be hyper focused on GOTV efforts. Advance voting will begin in just a couple weeks!

Edit: just counted candidates on each page.
CPC: 0
LPC: 185
NDP: 111
GPC: 80
There are 343 ridings.
#elxn45 #NDP #CPC #canPoli #cdnpoli #elxn45

Current polls as #elxn45 starts ironically has the #NDP both looking toward a historic low, mostly due to losses in B.C., but could still potentially hold the balance of power if the Liberals come up just short of a majority.

That said, the Liberals have to be *very* happy with this as it stands. It could still improve for them but the #CPC are not far off. Well within possibility of forming government.

172 seats is needed for a majority.

Good to see #Singh finally take credit for some of the big wins (Pharmacare, dental care, sick pay) that the #NDP was able to achieve under the previous minority government. Disappointed that he didn’t translate this into a pitch for real electoral reform (people benefit when parties work together).

Overall, too much slinging mud at the other guys and not enough vision and substance. After this election Singh needs to step aside and let someone else lead the party.
