The coast of Maine. To me, home is not a building, or one specific place; it is the smell of the ocean drifting through a coastal forest of spruce and pine and the sound of the waves crashing on the rugged granite shoreline.

I’m back on the internet after being away from home for a week and taking a break from it.

I took this photo from one of the handful of lobstermen’s workshops at the commercial wharf that buys lobsters from the boat I work on. These shops are predominantly used for sanding and re-painting lobster buoys each year and storing gear and spare boat parts.
