This little blue beauty is the Leyland Lion LT5B, built in August 1934. It was powered by one of the first 6-cylinder 8.6-litre diesel engines and in 1947, it was re-bodied by Burlingham.

Operated by Alexander & Sons limited as fleet number P169, it serviced the Glasgow to Inverness route in the first 10 years of service.

P169 is part of the Glasgow Vintage Vehicle Trust collection at Bridgeton Bus Garage.

Voices3
Freewheelin'
Just Sing & Kinloss Peace Singers
Inverness Cathedral, 9/3/25

A capella harmonies with 4 different choirs. The concert started with Voices3, the three singers were joined by 6 more to form Freewheelin'. Finally, 2 further choirs, Just Sing & Kinloss Peace Singers joined, to make the full ensemble.

Songs included: Clear Blue Morning, Down In The River To Pray, Finlandia, & Here Comes The Sun. The last was my favourite.

Great concert.

The Glenmoriston Hotel is a great venue for a small gig. It has very posh surroundings, has an interesting dinner menu, (last night) there was a respectful audience who wanted to listen to the music, AND table service for the drinks. If only every gig could be like that. 😃

It has been beautifully sunny in the North Highlands. Relatively warm too.
The ipcam pointing at the bird feeder in my garden struggles with the seasonally low sun. Even when the weather is fine, the feeder can be shaded by nearby trees, while a sunlit backdrop plays havoc with the image. However, for a few moments today the sun made it through the leafless canopy and illuminated a visiting Red squirrel.
There's a live feed at tempofiesta.com during the day.

One of my favourite café's in #Inverness has closed =( and they're trying to raise funds to re-open under a new name; Roots Café.

They're amazing for communtiy work and in promoting bicycles as transport, health improvement and social aspects. They do an incredible vegan menu.

Staff were always superb, kind and generally went that extra mile without being asked.
