I’ve had the most glorious day out in Edinburgh, including visits to the Botanic Gardens, the Portrait Gallery and the Museum of Scotland.

That satisfying moment when you leave your train, take the Waverley Steps, and find the bus home has just pulled up ...
Spring sunlight streaming through the vast, glass and steel canopy above Waverley Railway Station.
Day off, and beautiful light, so taking my camera on a short train trip across the border to Berwick Upon Tweed. This will mean risking the train being held up by Border Bandidos, who roam the area after Brexit
Tunnel connecting the impressively grand booking hall to the east-bound platforms in Waverley Station.
You can see part of an architectural detail from the original design, now partly covered by this later alteration.
