The Green Man on a building on Lancaster Terrace in Glasgow. Representing spring and rebirth, the Green Man appears on a surprisingly large number of buildings in the city, but this is one of the best I've found so far.

How Scotland reduced violent crime - John Carnochan
Re sharing this transcript in context of #Adolescence series.
In Glasgow particularly we have long-standing problems with youngsters killing each other. Recently boy of 15 killed, suspect 14. Gang related knife crime is frequently involved. But the Violence Reduction Unit has helped reduce deaths in the city. I'm sure there are lessons others elsewhere can learn from.
I found a playlist of Celtic music, and definitely recommend “1984” by Project Smok. Looking forward to listening to more of this album.

Love this street art installation by the artist Louise McVey. It's up at the Applecross Basin in Glasgow alongside the towpath of the Forth and Clyde Canal.
This is one of my favourite views of Glaagow University. It's from the Hamiltonhill Claypits Nature Reserve on the Forth and Clyde Canal in the north of the city.

The temperature might only have been nine degrees yesterday here in the west of Scotland, but as it was what felt like the first sunny Saturday of spring, it seems like everyone decided to hit the beach anyway - and some even braved the water to go for a swim!
Modern flats looking very pretty reflected in the Forth and Clyde Canal in Glasgow, and demonstrating that new housing developments don't have to be characterless, generic boxes.
Saint Mungo and the robin on an exposed gable of the Scottish Renaissane style early 1900s Bell o' the Brae tenements on High Street in Glasgow. The mural was created by Smug and was painted in 2016.
Urban wildlife makes for some unusual photo opportunities.

The Linthouse Building at the Scottish Maritime Museum in Irvine. Designed by James Spencer, it was originally constructed in 1872 at the Alexander Stephen and Sons shipyard in the Linthouse area of Glasgow. The yard closed in 1982, and rather than simply being demolished, the building saved and moved to its current location in 1990.
Off to Easterhouse parish church for a popup #Glasgow #RepairCafe today. We're there from 12 to 3pm if you have broken things you would like fixed.
