Finally, I found the source of problem and it is not a <a href="https://mas.to/tags/Libreboot" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Libreboot</span></a> — it is some devices and device drivers which caused problem with long suspend/resume time in the <a href="https://mas.to/tags/FreeBSD" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>FreeBSD</span></a> </p><p>Will write a little blogpost about it soon :dragnhappy:</p>

And X220 with <a href="https://mas.to/tags/coreboot" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>coreboot</span></a> / <a href="https://mas.to/tags/libreboot" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>libreboot</span></a> needs near 10 seconds to wake up (FreeBSD 14.2/14.3)</p>

@Suiseiseki @mirabilos

My X200 is #Libreboot-ed, yes.

What I was actually thinking of doing was just supplying raw 12VDC (or whatever it is the charging port of the thinkpad takes) from a USB-C battery pack and a voltage-selectable PD adapter and feeding that into the thinkpad's charging port with no other battery installed.

That could theoretically provide multiple hours of battery life. :D

@tlaurion @mkukri tl;dr - we already discussed yoru concerns in #libreboot earlier. As Mate said, the upstreaming will be done at a later date when he feels like it. We're not in any rush . You just have to wait.

By the way: there's also the S model. T480s. your initial patch for Heads seemed to only focus on T480, but there's also T480s. so that ifdef should also handle T480s.

Perhaps a better way is this:

Define HAVE_H8S_EC or something, on the other thinkpads. Because T480 doesn't have it.

My Thinkpad collection keeps growing and I really need to think about what to do with them all 😂

Thinkpad x60
Thinkpad x220
Thinkpad x230
Thinkpad T420 (With Libreboot)
Thinkpad T430s (My wives daily driver)
Thinkpad T480 (My second most used one)
Thinkpad X1 Carbon Gen4 (With HaikuOS)
Thinkpad X1 Carbon Gen6
Thinkpad T14s Gen4 AMD (My daily driver)

I really need to stop buying those (beautiful) machines.

All of them are running flavors of Linux, except eh X1Gen4, which is curreltly running on HaikuOS and the T420, which is running FreeBSD.

Ei #mastodon #fediverse I'm looking for a new laptop for #development #work .

@mrdubulous@mastodon.social @thomholwerda @osnews No, you didn't.

You sent a patch that didn't work. I was under no obligation to wait for you. I saw an easy fix and got it working myself.

I never used your work. You're right in one way: I didn't look at it. I did look for review, but I didn't use it in my own version.

As you've chosen to persist, I will now ban you from #libreboot
