@xinniw @frameworkcomputer That a crazy price – I can buy refubrished cooling system (fan + thermal tubes + radiator) for #thinkpad for 12$. And the new one from AliExpress will not cost so much – near 30$ or like this I think

@arichtman @discontinued people still #mod the shit out of #iPod|s to this day...
Personally, I want some device like that again...
Maybe make it the #ThinkPod with a #UltraNav-Style #Trackpoint instead and out of #Thinkpadnium or #Nokiante plastic, coz #ThinkPad and #Nokia are the most durable materials once known!

So I figured out how to get #NetBSD working nice and fine on my #ThinkPad x220. It wasn't suspending correctly when I shut the lid.

Turns out the answer was in the docs.
Anyone have feelings about Lenovo #ThinkPad (T14 Gen3) with the AMD Ryzen in 2025 (w/ Linux)?
I need a laptop for travel, so it's not everyday critical and something a few years old, off lease should do.
Picked up a Thinkpad T14s Gen 5 (Intel) today. Intel Core Ultra 5 135U, 32GB RAM, 512GB SSD. It even has an NPU.
I went through the Windows 11 setup to see if there were firmware upgrades that could only be installed from Windows. Then I installed Fedora Silverblue on it to skip having to deal with Windows on a daily basis.
Everything seems to work, even the fingerprint reader. Now to figure out if the NPU is accessible from Linux and what to do with it.
#Knockoff #3rdParty #Thinkpad #batteries, I tell ya.
Who feels my pain? ;)

If this world had any sense left, we would be bringing back the ThinkLight.
