EU OS: A Bold Step Toward Digital Sovereignty for Europe
—@linuxjournal
「 While Fedora is a solid and reliable distribution, it is backed by the United States-based Red Hat. Some argue that using European-backed projects such as openSUSE or KDE's upcoming distribution might have aligned better with the EU's goal of strengthening digital sovereignty 」

@itsfoss Depends on the device age and specs. Probably #Fedora on new, decent systems and #AlpineLinux on older, weak systems. In my tests, Gnome usually takes only around 1.1 GB on it!!!
Bloody love computers.
Imagine being forbidden from scheduling a shutdown on your very own computer.
What kind of decisions led to this horrid mistake to happen?!

How can you get started in the Fedora community? You can introduce yourself on our forum at Fedora Discussion! We love to meet new people and help them find a place within the project.
The JetKVM thing didn't quite work out as planned.
But, on the bright side, hello Fedora Asahi Remix with KDE Plasma!
@mullvadnet any plans for native #Fedora and #Ubuntu packages?
For users who want to try Linux, I recommend this: Do not listen to people who tell you to use Ubuntu, Linux Mint or other variants. They all use the same complex and often breaking mechanisms, and can cause a lot of hassle.
Instead, I recommend these systems:
- #Fedora #AtomicDesktops
- #UniversalBlue #Aurora #Bluefin #Bazzite
- #HeliumOS
Looking forward to #SerpentOS too!
These systems are reliable like an Android phone, while offering you more freedom.

EDIT: This is NOT an official thing. Somebody wants this to happen, but it is not happening at this point.
There is no EU OS at this point.
According to the article, it is "A new community-led initiative."
@itsfoss I have already said on a German forum that the idea is good in itself, but unfortunately the distribution does not fit in with the EU at all. Even though I use Fedora privately, it would be more appropriate to use Suse Enterprise or, as already mentioned here, Debian.
Let's wait and see if this is just a pipe dream.

I'm so frustrated with the nVidia drivers being broken in my #Fedora #Linux that I'm minutes away from hopping back to #Mint. #LinuxMint
What should I do? 30 minutes poll
I'm still struggling with this. I tried editing GRUB so it'll start with the nVidia drivers, but adding nvidia-drm.modeset=1 didn't fix the issue, I'm still processing graphics via llvmpipe and not my GPU.
I've read more kernel editing instructions, but don't feel confident to mess with the kernel directly.
I'm thinking about uninstalling and reinstalling the nVidia drivers, in the hope that whatever config that was messed up will be rewritten, but it's a long shot.
I need #help on #Fedora #Linux
An update yesterday broke my nVidia prop. drivers, and now it's booting with the open source Mesa drivers.
Is there a way to easily change drivers? Mint has a UI for that, but I guess there must be a command line tool for it in Fedora.
Should I try to reinstall the prop. drivers? I feel that's cumbersome and prob. not the easy way to fix it?
Thanks for any help, I've been using Linux for over a decade but am a n00b when it comes to fedora.
