#Android peeps:

Go to Settings -> Apps, and tell me how many total apps you have

P.S., It's just a number. It's not a competition (high or low), so just chill out on this one. No app-hoarding-shaming. No app golf competitions. Just relax. XD

Android and especially Pixel users: do you use gesture navigation? I ask because I couldn't get used to it. It was one of the first things I changed after I got mine. I'm not sure why we ever "advanced" from three button navigation, or needed to. There was nothing wrong with it, and there still isn't. Supposedly the reason why they keep it as an option is for accessibility, which is cool. I don't need it for accessibility reasons, though; I just can't get used to gestures.

#AndroidAppRain at apt.izzysoft.de/fdroid today brings you 11 updated and 2 added apps:

* Permissions Summary: gives you a clear, organized overview of which apps have access to sensitive permissions on your device 🛡️
* SOS Flashlight: transforms your phone into a Morse code device, sending text through multiple channels simultaneously 🛡️

RB status: 674 apps (51%)

Enjoy your #free #Android #apps with the #IzzyOnDroid repo :awesome:

IzzyOnDroid App RepoIzzyOnDroid F-Droid RepositoryThis is a repository of apps to be used with your F-Droid client. Applications in this repository are official binaries built by the original application developers, taken from their resp. repositories (mostly Github, GitLab, Codeberg). Updates for the apps are usually fetched daily, and you can expect daily index updates.

Since some requests came, I tried to give another attempt of including Bouncing Logo - useless app recreating iconic :dvd: screensaver - into :google: Play store.

Last attempt ended up with developer account being banned for not pushing updates frequently enough. Now rejection reason is even more hillarious:

Your app contains very little content and does not provide engaging user experience.

I'm wondering would it help if I wasn't publishing it as open source app and would have included some ads... :blobcatthinkowo:

@meganL That quote is a bit misleading and outdated, work on multiplatform is well under way. The link says so right at the top, just before the text you quoted:

"Edit: Planning for an iOS version continues in #5421

StreetComplete on iOS is closer than ever, huge kudos to everyone involved in making StreetComplete as awesome as it is!

Continued thread

I need “something” inside my mothers house, actively/periodically checking the nearby devices and report them to the Google Find Network.

Currently latest report is often hours old and often sent by devices in the neighbourhood.

I’m thinking about:
- Obsolete android always-on-phone
- Raspberry pi with a bluetooth module

I could use some tips on how to achieve this with the little free time I have..

I've got a nerd #AskFedi question, expectations are high since we are on the Fediverse 😘

Situation: I’ve tagged mothers keys with bluetooth trackers. I hate this stuff, but she’s suffering from dementia and I also need some sleep. I'm using android trackers, e.g. the Google Find Hub. I hate this too.

Question: How can I improve the bloody “home tracking abilities” of these #%#@! trackers on Google Find network?

Really not looking forward to migrating away from #CalyxOS.

Even with #Seedvault backups, this is a total pain. Actually, Seedvault has been next to useless in my experience, I find ways to back up each app individually, which of course takes a ton of time and effort.

#Android.
