tusharhero<p>&gt; Libre operating systems: We are happy that two projects have chosen to rely on our platform for their development<br>&gt; recently. The GNU Guix project has recently moved to Codeberg. It is a functional package manager based on Nix, which can<br>&gt; either be used to manage packages on an existing system, or be used as a standalone GNU operating system. By the way, it<br>&gt; also allows choosing the GNU Hurd kernel.<br>&gt; <br>&gt; Last year, the Fedora operating system has decided to choose Forgejo as their new development platform, entering a<br>&gt; close collaboration with the Forgejo developers and the Codeberg community. Althoguh they will be hosting Forgejo on<br>&gt; their own infrastructure, some of their infrastructure projects can also be found on Codeberg.</p><p><a href="https://blog.codeberg.org/letter-from-codeberg-we-love-our-new-infrastructure.html" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">blog.codeberg.org/letter-from-</span><span class="invisible">codeberg-we-love-our-new-infrastructure.html</span></a></p><p><a href="https://mathstodon.xyz/tags/codeberg" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>codeberg</span></a> <a href="https://mathstodon.xyz/tags/gnu" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>gnu</span></a> <a href="https://mathstodon.xyz/tags/guix" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>guix</span></a> <a href="https://mathstodon.xyz/tags/fedora" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>fedora</span></a></p>

I wish it could just be a nonprofit.</p><p>3) In the user guide chapter on private repos (<a href="https://radicle.xyz/guides/user" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="">radicle.xyz/guides/user</span><span class="invisible"></span></a>), it says that I need to use a public DNS address trusted seed node to share the repo. I understand there's no DHT here, but I hope it's not too much of a pain to run this over my local network instead of the internet. (And yeah, I know I can use git locally, I just want to test Radicle locally.)</p><p>Overall, I think that if radworks turns out to be evil it will be a way easier transition to fork Radicle than it has been to leave GitHub, but I still wish I didn't have to worry.</p><p><a href="https://mathstodon.xyz/tags/Programming" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Programming</span></a> <a href="https://mathstodon.xyz/tags/CodeForge" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>CodeForge</span></a> <a href="https://mathstodon.xyz/tags/Radicle" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Radicle</span></a> <a href="https://mathstodon.xyz/tags/GitHub" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>GitHub</span></a> <a href="https://mathstodon.xyz/tags/GitLab" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>GitLab</span></a> <a href="https://mathstodon.xyz/tags/Codeberg" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Codeberg</span></a> <a href="https://mathstodon.xyz/tags/FOSS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>FOSS</span></a> <a href="https://mathstodon.xyz/tags/FreeSoftware" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>FreeSoftware</span></a> <a href="https://mathstodon.xyz/tags/VersionControl" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>VersionControl</span></a> <a href="https://mathstodon.xyz/tags/crypto" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>crypto</span></a> <a href="https://mathstodon.xyz/tags/Cryptocurrency" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Cryptocurrency</span></a> <a href="https://mathstodon.xyz/tags/NFT" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>NFT</span></a> <a href="https://mathstodon.xyz/tags/DAO" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>DAO</span></a> <a href="https://mathstodon.xyz/tags/SmartContract" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>SmartContract</span></a> <a href="https://mathstodon.xyz/tags/Ethereum" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Ethereum</span></a> <a href="https://mathstodon.xyz/tags/Libertarian" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Libertarian</span></a></p>

Wenzel 🏳️‍🌈<p>I just learned that <a href="https://indieweb.social/tags/Codeberg" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Codeberg</span></a> only receives 350€ per week in donations at the moment. If you like <a href="https://indieweb.social/tags/FOSS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>FOSS</span></a> and/or you use Codeberg.org, consider donating. Its not GitHub backed by Microsoft, its a non-profit dedicated to providing great service for developers.</p>
