Installed and started the ArchiveTeam Warrior. Very smooth experience.

It downloads stuff and puts it into the Internet Archive.

I took the "ArchiveTeam’s Choice" project and it chose public telegram channels. It's not taking a lot of bandwidth or memory or space or computing, as far as I can tell. It might take too much of my time and focus if I continue staring at the dashboard to try and figure out what all that stuff is.

The #torrent server lost two HDDs, a 2TB and a 4TB, a couple weeks ago. They've been rejected from the pool and all data re-checked for consistency.

I have plenty of spare HDDs to replace them. Will do that and replace the 2-core CPU with a quad core CPU this weekend. #datapreservation #dataprotection

If you think dara archiving is cool, go give money or volunteer with one of these orgs working to keep vital government information available to the American people.

You can also contribute by writing your politicians or calling them to complain about the removal of data that YOUR taxes paid for.

We the people own this data. Taking it from us is nothing less than robbery.

yt-dlp works on nasa plus streams to rip them to your drive, i've grabbed what i can before it disappears, would appreciate some redundancy, please help archive this

If you want to grab the stream, play a video and right-click it -> Inspect. It will bring up a developer pane with source code for the page with the video element already highlighted. Expand by clicking triangle, the URL you want ends in .m3u8, copy it out and use that with yt-dlp

This is in firefox, I don't use chrome but it also has an equivalent developer feature, so adjust as needed
