What if I went through life without questioning my every move? Without making myself smaller?

Without having my lived experience doubted, ignored, if not outright denied?

What if I didn't have to expend so much energy justifying my own existence?

What if I could #write, #create, be, exist with the confidence of a mediocre white man?

What if we all could?

...what a world

The Initiative works to engage community members throughout what is currently known as the Lower Mainland of BC, delivering a series of workshops on Invasive Species-based #art supplies and other useable materials in collaboration with non-for-profits and local volunteer groups. The traveling project was established in late 2021, aiming for ethical and reciprocal engagements within the often-destructive practices of invasive removal, offering use for the materiality of the plants that would otherwise go to waste.Promoting dialogues on "environment", colonization and human exceptionalism, the project works with organizations in offering demonstrations and talks on re-contextualizing social imaginations in relationship with so-called Invasive Species.

I made this old fashioned plate rack some years ago. You see them hanging outside on houses in the rural area where our boat was. The birds are very happy with it. 😉

I got the old worn clog (Holzschuh) from a friend.

Ps 1. Of course I don't use those peanut- nets anymore!

Ps 2. The photo is in winter. It's too hot for me now to go outside and take a photo. 😵‍💫

iOS Reminders Tip. A good feature in reminders is that you can create sections within a reminder list. For example, I have a Trip Packing List where I list out everything I need for a trip. Well within that list I have created sections; like bathroom, clothes, electronics, and even a section for things to do before I leave. Having things organized in sections just helps me make sure nothing is forgotten. You can even rearrange the sections in any order you like. Each section is a heading to make it easier to navigate between sections. Sections can be added to any list that you want. It is just a really good way of organizing your reminders within a list. Here is how to create sections, and how to rearrange them within a list. First, creating a section. 1, Open reminders and go to the list you want to add 1 or more sections. 2, Double tap on the more button. 3, In the pop up window, double tap on new section. After a section has been created, new section changes to manage sections, and that is what you would double tap on to create more sections. 4, You will land in an edit box, type the name you want to give the section. 5, Now go back to the top of the screen and double tap on the done button. Now, rearranging sections. 1, Go to the list you want to rearrange the sections. 2, Double tap on the more button, then double tap on manage sections. 3, Double tap on edit sections. 4, All of your sections will be listed with a reorder after each title. Just double tap and hold with one finger on the section you want to move, and slowly moving the finger up or down. Once its where you want it, just release the finger. 5, When finished double tap the done button at the top of the screen. I hope this is helpful, and it helps you organize things better! Enjoy! #Reminders #List #Sections #Organize #Create #Edit #iOS #Voiceover #Tip

My life is a constant tension between

a. Wanting to be All The Prepared, meet All The #Deadlines, make Everyone Happy, Time All The Management

b. Wanting to # live my life, not #grind it away; to #create, #explore, #love my loved ones; to minimize the % of my life involving #email; to not beat my head against things I don't enjoy

Thus, my life looks like a rolling disaster, sometimes, to some kinds of people.

I have been making progress with my color converter/creation application built with PyQt. I just added a 4 point gradient tool this morning. This application will allow you to create, convert and manage all your colors in one place.

@requiem Smartphones aren't really like that... and are not great for creating. Sure, they can capture what you create (audio/video/etc) but as an instrument of creativity they are... lacking.

As a tool of consuming, yeah, they are good at that.

I wrote about this in 2010.

First weaving project on a four shaft tabletop loom I was gifted. Second weaving ever.

Bits of it I'm not pleased with (first two color rows are hidden for a reason haha) but overall not bad. Learned some things, will do even better next time.
