Some people say they want simpler, fixable technologies. But would your or them buy it. Is this just a throwback/aspirational thing?

Microsoft wants you to buy a new computer.

But what if you could make your current one fast and secure again?

Use your old computer but with fresh new software.
If you bought your computer after 2010, there's most likely no reason to throw it out. By just installing an up-to-date Linux operating system you can keep using it for years to come.

Installing an operating system may sound difficult, but you don't have to do it alone. With any luck, there are people in your area ready to help!

Techies - in your opinions, what is the best Canadian email server / platform to use? For a non-profit, with 10 - 20 emails, one or two administrators. I am reasonably good at navigating set-up and maintenance, but I need to consider succession plans.
Thanks in advance for any feedback!

Anyone have a good bluetooth mouse they like?

I'm looking for cheap too. Like, under $20USD. Its for my work computer, so it doesn't need to be good for gaming. In fact, RGB lighting is a negative in this case. No dongle, I don't have the spare USB ports for that.

I've found a couple of cheap Logitech ones that fit the bill, but I'm open to suggestions.

"The first honest-to-goodness distribution with a proper installer was MCC Interim Linux, created by Owen Le Blanc, released publicly in early 1992. I recently reached out to Le Blanc to learn more about his work on the distribution, what he has been doing since, and his thoughts on Linux in 2025."
