@kkarhan @greenpeace The point is that #laptops are easily portable from workplace to home and back, and are user-friendly with little know-how... but when we actually use them, we are usually in a building with electricity supply, so we usually don't need the batteries... but we charge them anyway. What a wastage!
The "latter ideas" also make sense: cars in use are registered anyway (licence plates), and it would be quite easy to tax these registered cars, if someone owns more than 2 of them.

@wyatt yes, @EUCommission mandates it for #Laptops soon as well.
- Granted enforcement is shotty at best and many manufacturers don't even bother to get a proper IC to trigger the correct #USB #PowerDelivery output [voltages and amperages] but just put DC voltage straight onto a #USBc connector, which is a dick move and will kill devices down the line.
