The city has been coated in pollen for the past few weeks now it seems.

As far as I can tell, most of the visible part seems to come from pines, but there's a lot of different kinds.

Have to say that #thicktrunktuesday is definitely one of my favourite hashtags. So many amazing trees! This week I offer a giant of a tree from the #edinburgh #botanicgarden One tall enough that I couldn't stand far enough back to get it all in one shot. And then a second shot of tbat same tree, just for fun, with what my phone calls apeture mode.

Another textural fascination, this one a hundreds of years old pine of a variety which, sadly, I cannot remember. The whole tree is a spectacular one, but I think tbis particular shot is my favourite from my most recent trip to the #edinburgh #botanicgarden
