JFC, Atlassian. It's 2025. If you can log me out in the background while I have a form open in a web browser, you can preserve the contents of that form when you prompt me that I need to log back in to submit it. #Jira
POV: you clicked on JIRA link in Slack chat.
Don’t help me clicking on links. Internet’s hyperlinks already do everything I might ever need from them. Don’t try to “improve” my experience. Don’t try to “help” me. It’s a freaking link. Just let me see the website.

What’s one more field? Please? Pretty please?
Lots of damage.
"It’s been three weeks since Elon #Musk’s agents took over the government’s IT and HR departments. Since then, the movements of his so-called Department of Government Efficiency have had the cartography of a horror movie, #DOGE picking off agencies one by one based on slasher logic, feeding an unslakeable thirst for cost-cutting and #data.
Democracy doesn’t die in darkness after all; it dies in #JIRA tickets filed by #Palantir alums."

Now, I'm no expert in developer tooling.
But is it possible that Jira's built-in editor is a load of utter shite?
I swear updating Jira tickets is like A WHOLE TASSSSK and you need to block time to do it
You know what would be useful AI for it? Telling the damn AI to update it based on my verbal input or via mental communication
A Community-driven solution for your Jira exit:
Developer Emad Ibrahim needed to migrate from Jira to OpenProject — but did not find a tool that worked for him. So he built the OpenProject Jira importer and shared it with the world.
Now, others can use and contribute to this Community-developed migration tool.
Looking for a migration path? This might be what you need.

The purge extends beyond public-facing websites to pages on the NSA's internal network, including project management software like #Jira and #Confluence.
The NSA is trying to identify mission-related sites before the "Big Delete" is executed but appears to lack the personnel to do so.
Ok serious question to #Jira users. I find using it throughout the day strains and exhausts my brain due to the numerous links, UI features. And when I switch from one tab to another, especially to a Jira page, I suddenly forget what I am supposed to do on the Jira page. How do you all manage this??
Or is it just me??
Are you starting the year fresh and rethinking your project management tools?
If you are considering switching from Jira, take a look at this comparison with OpenProject: https://www.openproject.org/project-management-software-alternatives/best-jira-alternative/

coworker: hey can we close this #jira ticket? its allocated to <version>
me: its not done. In fact we barely started.
cw: yeah but we shipped <version> and its still open.
me: did <version> include the not done thing?
cw: no
me: did we hold ship of <version> because it didn't have the not done thing?
cw: no
me: then .......?
<waits for them to come to the obvious conclusion>
me: <sigh> just change the stupid #fixVersion
_pls get me out of this job_
I think I have to make a statement.
I liked working with #NovellNetware - versions 3 and 4.
I’m a big fan of #LotusNotes. It was hard getting used to not having it in my toolbox.
I believe that #agile values and principles are a good foundation for organizing team work and some most frameworks are a good starting point for using them.
I like #Atlassian #Jira and #Confluence.
I love working in a well designed #OpenOfficeSpace|s
Any takers?
The new #jira redesign is noticeably slower and just downright incoherent.
After a week of dealing with #microsoft bullshit, I'm convinced these companies either gave up or are no longer capable of caring about their users.
