One thing never taken into account when we talk about Vampire the Masquerade is just how little time vampires have in a day.
Humans, if they live a healthy life, have two thirds of a day to do stuff. In a pinch, three quarters or even more. Vampires have half a day, and no ability to extend that. Plus, their feeding tends to consume a lot of time in itself.
I don't think it is very frequently impressed upon the player just how incredibly limiting this is.

Not a commissioned piece this time but still commission adjacent. I’m trying to branch out and do other stuff than DnD. Back in college, I was fond of Vampire the Masquerade, so I decided to draw my old character. He was a history professor who was a part of the Followers of Seth clan. (They are called the Ministry now) He was basically like Daniel Jackson from Stargate SG1 (anyone remember that show?), if he was a vampire.
I am also still actively taking commissions for #DnD and #ttrpg characters.

I'm going to bet you two grew up in a different place (or time) than wherever @RickiTarr did.
Where I grew up (showing my age), before the #internet was everywhere and #computers were "cool," men like those in the video were the ones being called "weirdos."
Any interest in #DnD (let alone #VtM, #GURPS or, heaven forbid, #Shadowrun), #computers, anything #mechanical (#sportscars excepted, of course) labled you a "nerd," and #nerds were #pariahs.
Did I just run an entire VtM session based on the Rakshasa episode of Kolchak the Night Stalker?

How long should a single session in an on-going TTRPG campaign last?
Ok, wrapping my #TTRPG head around a grand unified theory of running an overly complicated #VtM Chronicle. The idea is that as the PCs pursue their ambitions they're running roughshod over organizations' carefully laid plans to which the organization responds. The emphasis here will be on the lower rungs of response, sending in mortals and--at the very most--ghouls to make the Coterie's un-lives difficult. I don't have to know the organizations' plans, only their responses.
OK, I finally found the #VtM playstyle validation I was looking for in 2018's *Anarch*: the *Response Algorithm* chapter lays out an escalation pyramid of intrusive reactions, in broad strokes with examples, that an organization might have towards the coterie. In this framework, I can plan on deploying several layers of indirection (kine >> ghoul >> baron) and manipulation to keep the coterie's heads spinning.
