Any of my #blind followers in Massachusetts? Can you please dm me? i was speaking to an elderly lady a few days ago and I would really like to help her out, but I'm not sure what kinds of services state rehab offers or whom to put her in touch with.

Made this issue for Lemuroid, which is an Android app that contains lots and lots of emulators, like Retroarch but uses a simple, Android-native GUI. Just, the game view can't be focused with TalkBack, so no image descriptions.

Disclamer In order to keep this bug tracker manageable, you need to keep a few things in mind: Any issue not following this template will be closed as invalid Is the issue reproducible on RetroArch...
GitHubAccessibility: Lenuroid doesn't expose the game view to accessibility services so TalkBack cannot get image descriptions in games · Issue #1014 · Swordfish90/LemuroidBy devinprater

Sigh. Okay. I think I'm going to avoid using the uber eats app until this gets fixed, and never use it again in case it doesn't get fixed.

In the latest update now, you can't even see the total amount of money you're going to be charged for. All you hear is "total," and that's it. You get the service fees, you don't get the *fees*, you get the delivery fee, but you don't get the promotion applied nor the subtotal.

I had to check the email received to confirm the order to know how much I've just payed. How's this a thing in 2025?

If you like videos with the most excellent narration style I've heard in a while, there's this great dude named Fredrick Knudson who does videos on internet culture stuff and its great because while he only uploades videos a few times a year, they're done with the greatest care. Here's a 5 hour documentary on the game, Eve online. Oh, and for blind people, you'll love him because he's extremely descriptive naturally. youtube.com/watch?v=BCSeISYcoy

Wow, it's been about 3 weeks since I got my OnePlus 13. The only times I've turned on my iPhone is to update it, and like once to try out Braille support in the betas, and to show off the kinda updated Siri voices VoiceOver can use. But about 97% of the time, it's all Android! I can't believe I'm finally doing it!

Well now that is really nice. TwBlue's latest version is getting to be a nice alternative to tweesecake. You can now get to filter posts, you can now specify the language in which a post is written... Definitely looking like a suitable alternative, more and more.
Now, if only one could make it so the enter key does not post but rather make a new line, and to send with something like shift+enter or ctrl+enter, that'd be perfect. I will have one hell of a hard time to adjust.

we weren't able to cover em all last wednesday, so today I'm finishing up the gamer jam 4 submissions, as well as a few surprising entries :) If you're curious about how #blind #gamers play #videoGames, or how #accessibility within #gameDev can be improed, come join me in 1.5 hours over at twitch.tv/zersiax #selfPromo #stream #smallStreamer

I don't really know how to use PiccyBot and yet I like it. I don't know the limit of the videos I can have described and yes, I paid for it. I think I'm doing too much, I guess because it describes one segment of the video and then gives her server errors when I play the next segment, and I don't even know if I should just play the next segment to get more descriptions or if I should just continue asking and then play the segment. #Blind

I don't understand the #blind anger toward# QRCodes.
I have to use them a lot at work and the only time I have difficulty is when there's more than one at a time and I am wanting to scan a specific one within the same screen.

Whenever I've had to scan one in public (such as at a restaurant or other venue) there's only been one and it's worked reliably and accurately every time, be that for tracking attendance during the pandemic, accessing a menu, paying a bill, reading a concert programme or so forth.

I've had to use them in place of OTP codes, to link apps (like WhatsApp etc), and never had an issue.

What am I missing, please?

Making Gemini AI a Windows App.
If you are a Google Gemini user and wish they had a Windows app, then here are the steps in accomplishing this. Please note: This can be done whether you use Microsoft Edge or the Google Chrome browser. These are the steps using the Google Chrome browser with Jaws.
1. Open Google Chrome and go to gemini.google.com.
2. If not already signed in, sign in to your Google Account.
3. Press the alt key and you should here, Chrome button menu.
4. Arrow up until you hear, Cast, Save, Share submenu.
5. Press the right arrow to open the submenu.
6. Arrow down until you hear, Install page as app..., and press enter.
7. A dialog will pop up and you will land on a Cancel button.
8. If you tab one time you will be in an edit box to name the app. There will be a default name already there, but you can change it to whatever you want if you like.
9. Tab to the Install button and press enter and this will create the app on your computer.
10. There should now be an icon on your desktop. So you can now access it from your start menu or your desktop.
11. You can even add it to your Task Bar like other apps if you want.
Enjoy!
