Tomorrow the #Tram di #Opicina enters its third and for now final phase operating with three trams in regular service. In total 29 services will run daily in both directions between #Trieste Piazza Dalmazia and Opicina, providing an interval of every 28 minutes from 7 am to 9 pm. In the morning one additional services starts from Vetta Scorcola.

@slothrop Having been to Vienna, I strongly second this.

The metro trains run every 5 minutes or better, and likewise trams. They're incredibly punctual.

And no, Americans reading this, that's not a typo.

Almost every destination you'll want to see is either near a metro station or a tram stop.

Belvedere palace? Tram stop. Schonbrunn palace? Metro. St Stephen's Cathedral/Stephensplatz? Metro. Museum district? Metro.

Many parts of the city centre have been pedestrianised.

But aside from all that, especially if you're from the US, Venna almost certainly has better public transport than your hometown.

And I think part of the Vienna experience is being in a city with world-class public transport.

Lausanne und Lugano bauen Tramlinien, @BaselStadt arbeitet (seit längerem) am #Tramnetz2030.

Das #Tram ist wieder zurück, aus guten Gründen: Viel Kapazität, wenig Flächenverbrauch, angenehme Fahrt, gute Integration in die Stadt.

Bimm! Lüttich bekommt nach 57 Jahren wieder eine Tram. Momentan fährt sie noch im Probe- und Schulungsbetrieb ohne Fahrgäste. Aber der Anspruch Lüttichs, eine Verkehrswende durchzuführen, wird schon gut sicht- und hörbar (Bimm!).

Übrigens, fällt euch etwas auf? Über der Tram?

This new #Melbourne #tram platform stop is only served by buses.

More #accessible tram stops and trams are needed right across the network.

As for this stop, there are pros and cons to returning tram route 58 to Domain Road vs the current route via Toorak Road - what do you think?

Right I am on the 72 tram. First time I've been on Burke Road in eons. When we lived in Richmond years ago we used to come here on and off to see films at the Rivoli.

I want to learn the East Asian student secret of sleeping anywhere convenient (library, cafe, tram) then waking up at the appropriate moment. The young guy opposite me in this tram had a nice nap then woke up just in time for his stop. I am a bit jealous of this skill.
