Late afternoon walk today.
Early morning was booked with doctor appointments.
The regular trail was crowded so we went to the Humboldt Bay shore.
Lots of wildflowers to cheer us up in the drizzle.
Brant, ducks and various shore birds were everywhere. Summer didn't chase but they gave her a wide berth anyway.
Was fun, but I don't know if I've ever seen Summer get that dirty before.

Summer wants to know when I might be ready to throw the Frisbee, already.
We just finished preparing a potroast to pop in the oven with onions, carrots, potatoes and celery. Dinner will be old fashioned comfort cooked in a Dutch oven.
Now that dinner is on autopilot it must be time to pay some attention to Summer.
The wind came up and it is a little cold for grandma outside but we just need to get moving to warm up.

Summer thinks our oldest grandson is showing up a day early so she is watching the driveway.
Lucky for me he is coming to help plant 25 begonias in pots.
Every spring we replant the begonia tubers I've collected over the last thirty plus years.
He also had time to make our PS5 play the MLB channel.
He is the best.
Summer got tons of attention.
Flowers, flowers and more flowers in our future. I can feel it.
