#ThrowbackThursday Here’s a couple of pics from when I witnessed the failed coup attempt in #Moscow in 1991. I was walking to class at Moscow State University when tanks started rolling (actually more like hauling ass), down the street. I can’t describe the feeling of dread that I felt because I knew something very, very bad was happening. The other pic shows outside the Kremlin. People were climbing on the tanks in defiance, daring the soldiers to fire on them.

Also me when my mother would say " Go pose for a picture with your Aunt Frieda, Bobby..."

Me: urk.

My Aunt Frieda would have been 110 years old this month. I remember she was a wicked mah jong player and wonderful cook. The best brisket, the greatest matzo ball soup, and the most amazing gefilte fish ever... except for that Passover when her fish gave everybody in the family food poisoning. I miss Passovers at her house.

Time for another #music #ThrowbackThursday circa 1995

This track was created for the USENET group rec.music.industrial compilation Mind / Body Vol. 2.

Made with Roland SoundCanvas SC-55 and trying to bend those General MIDI tones as far as I could make them go. Re-recorded here digitally, no other changes.

Created after reading Frisk by Dennis Cooper and so named "Frisk".
