A photo taken in my hometown many years ago (August 1990). Aside from being historic, the town hall is noteworthy for containing a mural donated by local painter Maxfield Parrish.

Maybe less famously, the town hall has served as a venue for community rummage sales and town talent competitions.

Notable past performances included our bellydancing town librarian, and a rousing harmonica performance of "Kumbaya" by yours truly. #ThrowbackThursday #KonicaTCX #NewHampshire

I had enough foresight as a 17 year old to photograph familiar things close to home. Like this gas pump (June 1989).

This was my grandfather's private station. He wasn't rich by any means, but he owned two dump trucks, two tractors, a backhoe and other construction vehicles he used for his jobs. It was an era when rural people could scratch out a living as a jack of all trades. #ThrowbackThursday #NewHampshire #KonicaTCX

Stuck in traffic on what looks to be I-89 in Pennsylvania. I got out of my car to take a photo of my parents behind me as we made our way down for my first year in college (August 1989).

Fun fact: The college I attended was just over 1,000 miles from home. I'd never even visited the campus before that. #FensterFreitag #KonicaTCX

Photos help me remember details otherwise lost to time. I remember being especially excited about taking this photo back in October 1995.

I'd noticed how nice the light was over this pond, so I brought my camera to work the following day.

Since then, trees have grown up in front of the water and mostly blocked this view from the road. This was shot along route 12A in my hometown of Plainfield. #NewHampshire #ThrowbackThursday #KonicaTCX
