A veteran #OttawaCitizen #journalist who was accused of being a #Russian asset by a former cabinet minister says it is the "height of irony" that a committee studying #disinformation has fallen for it.

#DavidPugliese told the #HouseOfCommons security committee today he found it astonishing that none of the MPs on the committee challenged the allegations when they were made last month.

Yesterday, in the middle of an answer from prime minister Trudeau, #Poilievre gets up to leave and his caucus gives him a STANDING ovation, interrupting Trudeau, and exasperating the Speaker.

#CarolineLucas is right. The scene tonight in the House of Commons was a farce.

The adversarial nature of the UK #HouseOfCommons is shown to be about a mere play of words and egos. The UK cannot pretend to have “the mother of all parliaments”.

For MPs industrial action is about to get very close to home, as #HouseofCommons security guards have voted to #strike partly the result of an intensification of rosters, partly due to staff shortages (party caused by long-term sickness).

I wonder what the #Tories think about these workers & what measures they'll be willing to take to 'break' the militancy?

Is having security guards angry at you the recipe for a safe working environment at Westminster... I suspect not!
