Interesting quote in this #CBC article about Liberal minister #RebeccaChartrand re: harassment:
"According to documentation provided to CBC News in April — but first reported this week by Canadaland..." Do you see what that means? MSM was told about the incident two months ago...said nothing. Until an online news source reported it. And our MSM serves us well? Even the CBC kills stories that don't serve the powers that be.

@EUCommission Hon. @Paulatics:
(Are you still our only federal political leader here? Or whom am I missing?) What it be possible to have Shared Services Canada set up a Mastodon instance, on which to host accounts for the government of #Canada (as a whole), both houses of Parliament, each Ministry, and each willing Senator and MP?

It's high time Canadians have direct access to our government, like the #EU (as shown above), independently of the US oligarchy.

I'd love to a see single server with two domains: social.canada.ca (for English) and sociaux.canada.ca (for French), on which duplicate accounts are created. To follow the government or a ministry or official in French, Canadians could follow them at sociaux.canada.ca, or in English, at social.canada.ca.

Whoever set up the #CBC Flipboard connection (@cbcnews) would probably be a good first person for a Shared Service Canada staffer to contact.

Some people say I'm hard on mainstream media. Well, this is what I saw today on CBC's Cross Country Checkup:

'Today, on the show. Climate change is causing unprecedented wildfires again across the country as evacuation orders increase. Also on the show, building pipelines. How does Canada increase domestic production of oil and get it out to market?'

Am I the only one asking if they are hearing what they are saying here?

conversation with professor and author Timothy Snyder about his decision to leave Yale University to teach in #Canada, telling CBC’s Eli Glasner why understanding history is the most important weapon in the fight against rising fascism.

01:18 The chilling effect of the war on woke
02:17 Evidence of universities self-censoring

Ever since Harper, CBC reporters have brought stories about the catastrophic climate collapse, and CBC editorial has used the stories to explain that environmental radicals are trying to slow Alberta oil and Federal pipelines.

Oh no.

Our poor CBC was _Rex Murphy'd_, made impotent in the struggle against carbon.

Great reporters photographers, crippled editorial, because Harper. Etc.

Live coverage of the King and Queen's arrival in Canada (scheduled for 1:15PM EDT) starts in a few minutes here.

He's doing community/public events today before opening Parliament tomorrow morning and then heading back across the pond immediately after.
