If the toxic algae bloom would not happen without excess nutrients flushed into the ocean from agricultural fertilizers and from petro caused climate heating, then it is NOT a "natural disaster", its a manufactured crisis fuelled by greed and willful ignorance.

Why does CBC endlessly mislead readers? CBC used to be mostly reliable, but now its corporate prooaganda.

In response to the US cuts to #PBS and public services, Canada should dedicate defence funding to the #CBC, #healthcare and the arts as our best national defence against the imperialists to the south. 5%+ on defence = spending on that which actually keeps us from becoming more Americanized (we just need to see these things as 'defence'). #cdnpoli #Canada #yyj

"She noted there are parts of the country where, when it comes to media presence, the CBC “is kind of the only game in town or in the nearest town. Johnson said one option is for the CBC to partner with local independent journalists, a model which has been implemented in Britain and “could be a great model for Canada.
So you start putting it all together and you realize public media starts to look not like a nice to have. It starts to look like a part of your communications infrastructure.”

The web and social media are now so flooded with fake ads purportedly from CBC television*, the CBC itself has had to warn us about them.
* I see a truck ton of these daily, inevitably hawking cryptocurrency.

I think it would be really cool if one of the Canadian television networks offered Stephen Colbert a deal so he could continue his show from there. Maybe in Toronto, Montreal, or Vancouver.

Then he could say whatever he wanted about #tRump and not have to worry about censorship.

Pay attention #CTV #CBC

With Colbert exit, Canada will lose the talk show host most attuned to our whims and politics

CBCWith Colbert exit, Canada will lose the talk show host most attuned to our whims and politics | CBC NewsWhatever the reasons, next year's cancellation of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert will see the departure of the host in the current era of late night television who kept Canada in his sights, as the relationship with the U.S. turned from friendly with occasional friction to antagonistic.

In one article CBC shows how the gun nuts are terrorists, actively collecting guns for terrorism attacks on Canadians.

In the next article CBC undermines the gun legislation that limit the gun nut access to guns that aren't hunting rifles.

Why is CBC cherishing the guns the terrorists also cherish, contrary to the majority of Canadians that want non-hunting guns banned?

26% of Canadians own a firearm.
70% of these say hunting is the primary use.

So <8% of Canadians, some of them active terrorists, have any interest in the yankee war-styled guns that can be easily converted to automatics with larger clips....and CBC just can't stop publishing articles defending that dangerous fringe.

Journalism reports the news.
Tabloidism makes the news.

I don't think it's a problem that #MarkCarney owns shares in 100s of companies, but if his blind trust contains US$8M in options for Brookfield, yes that does create many conflicts of interest. As the #CPC has suggested, those options ought to be exercised, then the manager of the blind trust can reinvest the money elsewhere.

It's surprising that Mr. Carney didn't do so when he became PM, and disappointing that he wasn't more honest with Canadians.
