Actually, is that an error by calasystems? Shouldn't forecast outdoor temp be part of the calculation, as a longer runtime at lower emission rate might mean higher emissions overall?</p>

Andy Jones-McGuire<p><a href="https://allthingstech.social/tags/HomeAutomation" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>HomeAutomation</span></a> wise, I started with a PHP project that controlled a <a href="https://allthingstech.social/tags/Tellstick" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Tellstick</span></a> USB dongle. Then migrated to <a href="https://allthingstech.social/tags/Domoticz" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Domoticz</span></a> because <a href="https://allthingstech.social/tags/HomeAssistant" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>HomeAssistant</span></a> looked too complicated.</p><p>Eventually I did migrate to Home Assistant though.</p><p>Now I have <a href="https://allthingstech.social/tags/Frigate" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Frigate</span></a> doing people detection around the house.</p><p>My top 2 favourite automations are: </p><p>1) an automation which turns the volume on the Google nest speaker of a room I am in, so music essentially follows me around the house.</p>
