Another nice evening glimpse of #Mercury & #Venus in the dusk sky, this time looking west along the Neckar from the Alte Brücke in #Heidelberg.
Venus is brighter to the upper right; Mercury is along a diagonal to the left & down from there, just above the thin clouds.
As seen near the end of today’s 55km cycle – sunny & warm for early March, but chilling rapidly after sunset. I also found some Bärlauch (wild garlic) out towards Ladenburg 
We made our way to Taourirt, a small town just a few kilometers from the gas station where we had spent the night. Needing to restock on supplies. We stopped for coffee and breakfast. But just as we were about to set off again, the wind picked up, and dark storm clouds rolled in.
Realizing the weather was only getting worse, we checked out the town’s two hotels and decided to stay at Hotel Riad in the main square. Our room was simple but spacious, with a balcony and a good hot bucket shower. What we thought would be just an overnight stop turned into a longer stay—more bad weather was on the way. After a few days of crazy winds and rain we were happy to hit the road again. The #Frostpendeln2024 season closes with 2,246 km (1,395 mi) over 74 trips from Nov. 1 to Feb. 28. The community and enthusiasm of @frostpendeln are so motivating and uplifting. A big Thank You to Tobi and the other organizers who make this happen. I look forward to next season. Perhaps there will be a team for North America?

Too warm for the end of February – not a good sign. Apparently there’s Bärlauch / wild garlic to be picked already, but I’m not sure where to look around Heidelberg – any clues, locals?

Well, despite some overnight snow, things cleared up enough for a ride this afternoon after all. But it was cold, just above freezing, so 45km was plenty 
As for the picture, no, I don’t know why I took it either. Despite hoping it might turn out graphically interesting, it just is what it is, a whole bunch of cardboard stacked up outside a farm
