Cycling Nomads<p>We made our way to Taourirt, a small town just a few kilometers from the gas station where we had spent the night. Needing to restock on supplies. We stopped for coffee and breakfast. But just as we were about to set off again, the wind picked up, and dark storm clouds rolled in.</p><p>Realizing the weather was only getting worse, we checked out the town’s two hotels and decided to stay at Hotel Riad in the main square. Our room was simple but spacious, with a balcony and a good hot bucket shower. What we thought would be just an overnight stop turned into a longer stay—more bad weather was on the way. After a few days of crazy winds and rain we were happy to hit the road again. Cycling Nomads<p>We were quite excited to explore this part of Morocco. We left Nador city by the coast following a nice cycling path which joined quite busy road going towards the airport. Was not much fun but 12 km passed very fast and soon we were on the crossroad turning left on RN 19 which was nice and quiet. I just started to enjoy this empty road when I heard the sound. I was hoping it was not what I thought it was.But it was. A spoke on my rear wheel was broken. MathiasDas Panorama der Küste vor Reine verschlägt uns den Atem. Über die Bucht, aus der uns gerade noch die Kajakfahrer entgegenkamen, zieht langsam der Schatten der Bergkette. Reine hingegen liegt noch im warmen Orange der tief stehenden Sonne. Aus der Luft bekommen wir einen Vorgeschmack auf die Aussicht, die uns in Reine erwartet...<br>

MathiasErste amtliche Wanderung, die es gleich in sich hat. Hoch zum Reinbringen, etwa 400 Höhenmeter und 2000 Treppen trennen uns vom Gipfel. Anstrengender als erwartet, aber jeden Tropfen Schweiß wert.<br>

MathiasEs weht ein frischer Wind, die Vögel sind aufgedreht. In einem sanften Rhythmus plätschert das Meerwasser ans Ufer. Wir nutzen die Mitternachtssonne für einen kleinen Spaziergang über den Hof.<br>

MathiasAm frühen Abend kommen wir im Hotel an und blicken auf eine unkomplizierten und entspannten letzten Teil der Anreise zurück. Sie führte durch eine wundervolle Berglandschaft zwischen Schweden und Norwegen, vorbei an Seen, Wäldern, Fischerhütten und schließlich dem Europäischen Nordmeer. Der Blick aus dem Fenster haut uns aus den Socken. Das Hotel hat das Ambiente eines alten Bauernhofes. Hier fühlen wir uns wohl, auch wenn wir leider nur eine Nacht verbringen werden. Den ganzen Abend können wir die Mitternachtssonne genießen, die gemächlich über den Bergrücken ziehen wird. Wir sind angekommen im arktischen Sommer.<br>
