Jemaleddin ColeI was a little taken aback today when I finally got to take apart and poke around at the components of the bike I bought. I was convinced that it had a freehub and cassette, but instead it’s got a freewheel. I intend to change it from 6 to 7-speed, and had thought that would be as easy as getting a new cassette, but now I need to:• buy a 7-speed freewheel, or • buy a new/used wheel with a freehub and 126mm rear spacing, or • learn to rebuild one of the wheels I have to make it workThat first option seems REALLY convenient. Is there any reason not to stick with a freewheel? It was near freezing when I set out for coffee with the hockey guys. But on the return trip it was already 50F (10C). I went to the grocery store and picked up ready made pie crusts and ready made pie filling. Given tomorrow is pi day (3/14), I had to make a quick pie, it's easier to carry the ingredients than an already made pie. Jer 🚵🏼Picked up gravel bike from shop yesterday and saw a new frame bag using thumb screws. Clever! I had 3d printed a support panel for top tube bag last year, but wrenching it in/out was pretty clumsy. I am pleased with that decision. The trail was mostly clean and dry, just one segment still snow covered and unrideable, but that was the scenic route into Riceville, so I took the direct route instead. I saw Pheasants, Turkeys, Killdeer and heard lots of songbirds. <a href="https://urbanists.social/tags/BikeTooter" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#BikeTooter</a>

AI6YR BenOne good quality (exactly.one) for this folding bike. It fits in a sedan trunk. Otherwise... low end shifters, not great quality anything.
