Stage 4: Fully metasticized collector. Seeking out what they want, turning their collections into libraries, displaying collections for viewers and for their own satisfaction, and hitting up every possible source of movies everywhere they go, new or used, based solely on disposable income and desire. The struggle to process, or watch, what comes in is real.

Stage 5: Tumorous collector. Collection has overwhelmed their ability to control it, watch it, shelve it, understand it, and live with it. It's at this stage that something's gotta give.

Stage 6: Death and wills and taxes. These considerations are inevitable. Give everything to charity, radically downsize, start a new life and never ever do this again. Or die with the most toys and still lose.

Excellent time to collect CDs :blobcatthumbsup: Second-hand discs usually cost 1-10 euros nowadays, they don't rot, quality does not decrease over time (differently from magnetic tapes), you can enjoy them offline and nobody can ever disable or remove them (like streaming services do) :compact_disc:

Preserve music you love safely and reliably 💿

The #Collector market is strong in the #USA and as a result, coins from America are often more expensive than their counterparts from elsewhere in the world. So I don't end up with as many as from other countries. Still here is an interesting one which is 78 years young - From the year #WWII ended, here is a Walking Liberty Half Dollar. Grubby and worn, it definitely still has presence, and I do like the #eagle

My #SpotifyWrapped threw up some oddities which I can put down to sticking a few artists' back catalogues on in the background while working and not really paying attention to them. My favourite artist of the year was not who Spotify thinks was my favourite artist of the year. Not even close. Anyway, I'm apparently a #Collector according to the algorithm.
