Got my BlueSCSI from @onegeekarmy today! Really happy with it. I can’t use it right now (the Mac is disassembled waiting for a cleaning session), but will soon.

I plugged in a #BlueSCSI V2 external 25 pin into the dock and I now get this icon with a flashing arrow for about 5 seconds or so. It then boots from the internal drive as before: SCSIProbe shows devices at IDs 1 and 4 (BlueSCSI HD and network) but no names, no drives.
What does that icon mean?

@riley @shyra uhm did #apple manufacture disks with a custom firmware? That would be very typical...
BTW, #bluescsi is reported as fully compatible with my #powerbook 170, so I'd expect it to Just Work™...

As suggested by @shyra , I tried the #lacie #silverlining drivers (found a bootable #system7 drive with the drivers already installed on #machintoshgarden) and in fact I was able to read and write to the #bluescsi emulated disk without errors!
Unfortunately I still cannot boot from the disk: I got a plethora of different errors after the "Welcome to macintosh"...

New model: #PowerBook 5xx HDD caddy, with both an HDD and a #BlueSCSI variant.

I removed the cmos battery to avoid future leaks, and made the trackball finally work replacing a capacitor and cleaning/re-setting all the connectors.
Now on the #bluescsi. No way to make this thing to boot from it. I tried formatting the virtual disk from the 170 instead of creating from the pc. It formats but then while copying the files I have a lot of i/o errors. It seems like it bursts for some seconds and then hangs. The OS seems waiting a bit and then showing the error, maybe after a #scsi timeout...
Not sure how to troubleshoot this. The bluescsi log in the microSD doesn't show any error...

Got my WiFi #bluescsi installed, it’s so nice being able to load CD images and connect to the internet off of this thing.
Before I go casting spells in OpenSCAD... has anyone made a 3.5inch floppy bay mount for the BlueSCSI V2?
I've got it in a hard drive bay at the moment, but I'd like the SD card accessible from the front of the PC.
It only took a 68-pin/Centronics/IDC-50 cable contraption, but I got my #BlueSCSI v2 to do 16MB/sec on Windows 98 SE!

A shiny #BlueSCSI from @MuseumJoe - took a while due to Canada Post strikes, but it's finally here!
I finally got BlueSCSI updated and working properly with my Mac Classic II. Who knew there were variants that flat-out don't work with Sandisk cards?
A nice new feature is SD transfer, which allows you to import/export files direct to the SD.
And yes, this tiny postage stamp is a full-size screenshot from a Classic II. Resolution is overrated.
