pixelgladeMy latest artwork is a shinto shrine inspired by the town of Sawara, Japan. Also, the first pixel art I've made in Krita on Linux! I could never get Clip Studio Paint to work with Lutris so knowing I can transfer this workflow is awesome.<br>

Weebdeluxe<p>Stories from Sol: The Gun-Dog pulled me right in with the PC98 aesthetic, but the characters and writing made sure I stayed until the end. It's a shorter VN, sure, but it has no fat. The soundtrack and mood are unique and enticing and I wasn't bored for a single second. It cost nearly US$150 to replace that PSU with a new unit, which still refused to power on the computer because it too got damaged, somehow (turned out, the peripheral power cables connecting the PSU to the hard disk & optical disc drives were either shorted or incompatible with the new PSU, thus damaging it). A month later (September), the new PSU was again replaced but also this time the peripheral power cables were also replaced, & only then my workhorse PC came back alive… only for the new PSU to again explode now on October 16 (two months after the first PSU’s explosion & one month after being replaced together with new cables). Nina Kalinina<p>Okay, folks, as you know, I'm watching an anime "16-bit sensation", a show about NEC PC-98 nostalgia. It made me power up my PC-9821 Aile and boot into DOS/V, and finally try to launch some high-end PC-98 games. And I am speechless. Even on an LCD screen from mid-90s, the art is legendary.</p><p>PC-98 series is a special beast. Conceived by NEC as a business computer, the first models were based on Intel's powerful 8086 (the year was 1982). Unlike IBM PC clones, PC-98 supported Japanese out of the box, with complicated input system and thousands of kanji. To make the kanji look good, or, rather, at least minimally readable, the computer's graphics was 640x400 in 16 colours.</p><p>As you can imagine, adding Japanese support to a regular PC is hard. Rafael<p>Another garage find. This is an NEC APCIII. It's the US version of the pc9801. It runs MS-DOS but it has a different BIOS and a high resolution CGA adjacent display. So most DOS software is unlikely to work. Why do I have it? I don't know. I think I picked it up because it was weird and in the days before retro was cool, it was really cheap.
