With this I agree.
But it's bin a hegemonic dumpsterfire for as long as I've had an interest in geo politics. 50 years or so. Growing up in Europe with US bases all over a peaceful Germany, ostensibly to keep the Sovjets at bay, but really to subjugate and intimidate everyone.
Sorry, I have not had a kind view of the USA (not its people in general, but it's governments). Obama was a fleeting ray of promise, swiftly extinguished, because the US isn't ready ...

It's amazing to me how often people don't pick up on social hints.

I spot them immediately, and I am over sensitive to them. I'll get embarrassed as an observer not involved.

I live with other people at this residential care facility.

I told someone to stop talking to me when I was reading, listening to a podcast and responding to ABSOLUTELY NOTHING for like two minute.

They asked if I was done 30 seconds later, and kept talking, so I just left, and they were confused.

One downside of any #BromptonElectric is though that their (non-essential) Android app (and likely the iOS app as well) insists on an online account registration (why?!?) even if the phone has no internet access. #WTF?

Then again it's probably not worth using as it has an impressively bad average rating of 1.6 of 5 stars in the Google Play Store (according to the Aurora store frontend a few days ago as I remember it).

Ham Confession: I've been using the internal speaker on the IC-7300 since I got it. The other day, I plugged in headphones (over ear studio headphones) and...the sound was INCREDIBLE!

Which means, sadly, that the internal speaker is, hmm, not great? Once I heard that, I couldn't unhear it.

I have no excuse for not using headphones before this point. I am aware of the error of my ways and I will do better going forward.

Okay, so a friend just confirmed to me that screenshots taken in Signal group chats are PRIVATE (no announcements alerting others that someone has taken a screenshot).

Also, a reporter (CNN) just said that they were informed by a US government official that the government frequently uses Signal for discussions, but that might change.
