The 3rd Legion is so broken that I dont even know where to start. There was a virus introduced. It killed most of them. They overcompensated for the virus and started down a road of arrogance and pride and perfectionism that is way more Fabius Bile than Fulgrim. In the words of that guy Fulgrim killed but who later ran the legion "They do so well with a primarch. Its a shame we dont have one."

@cstross You're half-joking I presume, but is that something you seriously think about? "That" being the possibility of your fiction (or parts thereof) being used by real-life people as a blue-print? The repeated exhortations by Games Workshop that #WH40k and the Imperium of Man are a *satire* of fascism and aren't actually a cool thing meant to be emulated seem to be a case in point for authors losing control of their narrative (even though the comparison is a bit weak as GW is not a single author and they make tons of money with the #SpaceMarine games which seem to mostly gloss over the geno/xenocidal nature of the Imperium and of its servants).

Rofl, In most #wh40k books everyone is scared of the navigators and dont hang out with them but to the Night Lords a navigators sanctum is the spot to chill and the legion serfs are just all there talking about "she's so relatable and cool." Is the most "to the Joker Crazytown is Normaltown" thing I have seen yet from this setting. Ave Dominus Nox I guess.

A couple years ago just before Christmas season I was talking to my girlfriend about returning to the hobby after twenty years because I kinda missed it and to be honest today's minis are awesome, slightly bigger and more detailed.
She surprised me with the Goff Rocker miniature and some paints, and that was it. Back to the plastic crack, the brushes and the paints.

A death company squad and a Predator were the last additions to the army, apart from the squads included in the starter set. The black rage guys are metal bodies with plastic arms, glued with superglue. If you stare at them too hard the arms fall of (again).
