While it was nice to revisit these characters one last time, the season as a whole felt entirely unnecessary. I actually didn't hate it, but I also would've been perfectly content with how they ended things in S3, with everyone going their separate ways sans powers. Overall I'd grade S4 a C- or maybe 2.5★ out of 5.

The storyline is fairly wild, but the storytelling is rooted in character.
