The worst attack on freedom of expression is political correctness. It is a form of self-inflicted repression and censorship. And it is caused by social fear.
For me, if you are politically correct, you are a poor wretch who don't dares to hold his gaze high and hides what he thinks. You are a sad sheep, a dog trained by beatings.
If people are running towards an abyss or everyone is shouting absurd slogans in unison and you remain silent and applaud for fear of being rejected and attacked by the ignorant mob, then you are being politically correct.
A total waste of evolution.

“Political correctness” and “wokeism” are simply other terms for respect and compassion, things Republicans mock because they’re sociopaths. Though they don’t show anyone respect or compassion, they expect both — while deserving neither.

The predecessor to “woke” as a pejorative term was “politically correct,” and there were similar terms before that, going back as least as far as “abolitionist”. They’re all some form of “do-gooder,” which speaks volumes.

Some of you remember these two guys. I find their thoughts in this clip refreshing; some real wisdom here. It feels like it's from another era, and it is. I also can't help but think of how the role of movie critic has been under fire for years now and many have left the business. I so wish there was a movie review show today like theirs was then, and updated for our times.
