* Scrum Master Seeking Remote Opportunity *
Hi, I’m based in Vienna and looking for a remote Scrum Master role! With a background in psychology, English, and philosophy/ethics, I bring a people-centered approach to agility—plus a good dose of humor to keep retrospectives from turning into existential crises. As a systemically solution-oriented coach, I help teams embrace change, collaborate effectively, and stay focused while navigating complexity with clarity.
Certifications: IPMA Level D, PSM I, PSM II, PSPO I, Kanban, CARS, SAFe
Let’s connect!
I’ve selected my first game development project!
I’ll be building a game using Lua and the Love2D framework. It’s a classic arcade-style game, simple enough for a first project but challenging enough to push my skills. To keep myself accountable, I’ve set up a kanban board to track my progress and meet my deadline.
Timeframe: 30 days
Start date: January 30th
Finish date: March 1st
More details soon—stay tuned!
(P.S. If anyone knows a good open-source kanban board, let me know! Trello is locked behind a paywall, and I find Focalboard clunky.)
Weil ich ne etwas komische Reaktion auf LinkedIn bekommen habe. Wie findet ihr diese Grafik?
@thoughtbot shared this wonderful article https://thoughtbot.com/blog/the-presidents-doctor "The president's doctor: Why your projects take forever" by Jared Turner.
A small taste:
2 + 2 = 4 until it doesn’t. As an example:
Project A should take around 2 weeks
Project B should take around 2 weeks
That’s 4 weeks to complete them both
But only if they’re done in sequence!
If you try to do them at the same time, with the same team, don’t be surprised if it ends up taking 6 weeks!

Testing the #Kanban plugin for #Obsidian. I support and work on many different things, so I was thinking about not using it in the traditional Kanban method but rather lists of things all on one screen. Like a column header could be "SupportGroupA" then use that column for the things I do for that group. This actually kind of works until you go to archive the task. At that point you lose the context of what it was for because the header isn't listed with the task. I… https://techlifeweb.com/blog/2024/12/2024-12-04-post-085933/
I get very tired of this endless series of "Agile is bad" articles.
The truth is, agile is swamped by the "Agile Industrial Complex" snake-oil salesman and agile is getting slowly strangled by people more interested in making money off of it instead of building better software.

Do you know Nextcloud Deck?
Deck is a #kanban style organization tool aimed at personal planning and project organization for collaborative teams.
Deck receives glowing reviews from our community!
I have an #idea for a #Thunderbird #extension, but I don't know how to code it:
#Kanban view for tasks
#tasks already have status which could be converted to columns:
Not specified → #backlog
Needs action → to do
In Process
Completed
Over here, we're celebrating that we just closed our 100th agile sprint!
We started using kanban (and tracking sprints) all the way back in January of 2022. We had several comic cons coming up, which was super overwhelming. And I was still trying to figure out how to finish and release The Depths of Despair.
Using kanban, paired with the additional structure + accountability around weekly sprints, allowed me to visualize and organize all that work, and allowed our little team to actually get everything done that needed to be done.
Since that time, we've had one sprint per week with just a few exceptions. So kudos to the team for achieving this incredible milestone!
I'm very much looking forward to our continued momentum and success throughout 2024 and beyond!
I propose the following #Kanban board stages:
- TO DO (requested)
- NO GO (blocked, cancelled)
- FO SHO (doing it)
- OH NO (testing)
- YOLO (released)
I have a peaceful day tomorrow, couple of deep work sessions in the morning, then my weekly #kanban progress group and that’s about it. I’ve loved being at the virtual conference but I’m ready to do something quieter now
