- eOs (doc.e.foundation/devices)
- LineageOS (wiki.lineageos.org/devices/)
- grapheneOs (grapheneos.org/faq#supported-d)

Gerne PM falls ihr da was rumliegen habt!

Ich packe die Vorführgeräte dann samt Infomaterial in eine Box, die hier im Umkreis für weitere Wechsel-Café-Aktionen kostenfrei geliehen werden kann.

Boosten erwünscht!

@mos_8502 Two photos from my local #HackerSpace

Several nights ago I was working @revspace late and the phone rang and - hesitantly - I answered it. I really don’t speak Dutch.

It was another participant who hailed me by my ‘nym and asked for photos of one of the components drawers. (I don’t know about others, but this space is fiendishly well-organized.)

I took and sent these photos of the 4000 series boxes. #IntegratedCircuits

I am showing work at two places in Brooklyn at the moment and Internet of Strings opens Saturday evening at 6pm till late. Perfect afterparty for a protest :)
Yes it costs $18/to get in, but there is a DJ and I hear free drinks too. Did I mention it's an interactive show?

With that link you can interact and blink my sticks sculpture from anywhere- so long as it isn't unplugged or cloudflare isn't down. You can't see it, but for my first node.js server sculpture, I don't think it's too bad. Eager to hear your thoughts though.

This stick chandelier has some neon I made while living in Texas, New Jersey and NYC in it :). The other tubes from one doodle were on TV with Elmo.

I am also in the glass n' glitter show at the Williamsburg "WAH" center that opened last Saturday.

Here is a link for the resistor show-

On this month-long journey I met with and interviewed six workers coops, five of which are tech-related. They are vastly different, each operating within their unique context.
19.coop
syndicats.co
teknologisk.coop
robur.coop
ogtall.no
kbhck.dk (bike shop)

I met with the workers' union which has Denmarks first 30-hours collective bargaining agreement at/with a tech workers coop.
prosa.dk (union)
tetrabit.coop (coop)

I met with two data collectives; democratic organizations which among other things run digital services (matrix, nextcloud, etc) for its members.
data.coop
ukrudt.net

I also met three hackerspaces and one makerspace.
labitat.dk
hamburg.ccc.de
hackeriet.no
attraktor.org

Expect a blog post (particularly about the coop related stuff) or extended fedi thread some time this summer.
Feel free to @ me if it takes a while.

i'm playing with the idea of doing a presentation/workshop at my local hackerspace. i wanna go through leasing a vps from hosthatch (they offer 1tb of storage for $5/mo), then either installing something like cryptpad or nextcloud, or maybe installing garage s3 and their tools

the idea though is that for <$10/mo you can self-host an alternative to a lot of what you're already using, and it's not THAT hard

the #Fabville makerspace at the #somerville High school is great actually?

Last night at the open house, the #FIRST #robotics team demoed their robot, Plunk, which qualified for the New England district championships. Congrats to the whole team!

Checked out the whole shop, and, importantly, there's a makerspace with a mini woodshop, including a shopbot, plus a bunch of 3d printing and computer driven cutting/plotting devices - at the high school thats just...free? What? I don't have to drive 40 minutes each way to A2?

So what is the most Discord- or Slack-like thing that one can self-host for a Hacker Club?

edit: an idea of requirements...

I guess I need it to have an easy web page front end so rank beginners will know how to use it; I'll give up as much fancy functionality as I need to for that.

Also needs to be self-hosted with no surveillance or shitty commercial license or capitalist issues. Again, I will give up as much fancy functionality as I have to.

From there, I'd like to have as much Nice Stuff as possible, groups, spaces for admin, different topics, etc.

Thinking Matrix via a web frontend? Not sure about the licensing/beholdenness of Matrix.
