Using #AtariST based #LDWPower to compare #GeekBench values and decide on Apple #MacBookPro #M1Max 10/32 upgrade path. M4 Max seems to be the only viable path.

Is it just me or did #Geekbench break accessibility with #NVDASR again?
Yesterday I bought Jake a new laptop. His turned black on Saturday and died when opening almost everything, so we went down the West End to Tottenham Court road, found a very nice deal in one of those little computer shops, and came away with a Razer Blade machine. They took it down from £1000 to £800 for us as well. Jake has to pay half of it, so it's not a freebie by any means. He'll have to sell things to earn it, but he's very happy indeed. #Geekbench result: https://browser.geekbench.com/v6/cpu/11172612

Is #Geekbench seriously not accessible with #NVDA? Works great on Mac. Neither screen nor object review seems to be able to see the window. OCR can't get a lock on it either. What's that all about?
Got a nice little improvement in Geekbench; 8.79% in single-core, and 28.84% in multi-core!

No, I didn't reverse those. Apple's "please don't overheat" bugfix somehow bumped benchmark performance, reliably, by about 6% ST and 11% MT. Maybe my device just needed a reboot for some reason?
Also lol 3.8GHz on a very-wide mobile CPU.
Back to my phone being comparable to or even better than my desktop on some metrics. Not bad considering the iMac has a lot more power and heat dissipation though it's now over two years older. (Of course running #GeekBench took 7% of my battery.)
That single core win is impressive but the per-core GPU performance is about 15% higher? Wild.
Oh, my! The new Geekbench 6 really shows how much my Intel Mac mini is falling behind…

From Macworld, Geekbench 5 scores for all Apple Silicon.
Pretty interesting. Two bar-charts below, for multi-core and compute. Link to the whole article (much more detail there) below.
