Just had the loveliest experience while getting my watch strap resized at Silver Phoenix in Bray. They’re a tiny, independent two-person jewellers – Martin and Joleta – and they took such care (Martin resized it three times and did a micro-adjustment and then undid it until we found the perfect fit).

In a world of faceless corporations you forget sometimes how lovely people can be.

So if you’re looking for jewellery, a watch, wallet or pen (or repairs/sizing/etc.), give them a shout and support a tiny local business that’s been going for five years now.

At least the data that is currently available free is staying free (for now?) I have been an Apple Watch user for years now, but prior to that I was a Garmin user. I never used their platform as a primary platform back then.

Garmin watches nowadays are really expensive, it’ll be interesting to see how they convince people that already spent a grand on a watch to cough up $7/mo for AI features.

The new livery for the Racing Bulls car is beautiful. I need to pull out my Tudor Pelagos FXD to wear on race weekends!

Also, glad they are going with Racing Bulls instead of the silly Visa Cash App Racing Bulls name.

Found my old #casio waveceptor watch today. I think it might be time to out it back into service. The band on it has basically crumbled to dust. Does anyone have a lead on a good replacement band for these watches? Ideally one that at least resembles the original. Thanks!

Are there #FOSS alternatives for #Android #fitness #Apps such as #Wahoo and #Garmin #Watches and #Bike Computers? Or has anyone had success running such apps on #DeGoogled Android OSs? I own a #PinePhone, but the #banking and #fitness apps are still incompatible. They are show-stoppers. Maybe @cyberlyra or @foss_android have an idea on #FOSS solutions?

Random memory popped into my head.

I used to have a watch that I could load contacts and calendars (IIRC) on to via strobing lines on the screen and hold REALLY still.

I feel like it had so few characters, that all the data on it was next to impossible to actually use. That was a weird watch.
