Today in Croatia it is Anti-Fascist Struggle Day, an official public holiday, to remember the partisans who fought the Nazis and their puppet government in Croatia during WW2.
I think every country could do with an Anti-Fascist day.

You can't have #FreePalestine.
Without #FreeIran.
Both are children of the Islamist Revolution that began in 1941 when Britain and Russia invaded #Iran for oil in #WW2.
It took another 40 years for the #Persian Empire to fall after the Iranian military was destroyed.

Oh, good grief. Banning "Calvin & Hobbes" books? This is what happens when people don't think critically and look at things out of context. "They Called Us Enemy?" Yeah, heaven forbid kids learn about #WW2 history. #TN #BookBans

"The invasion began on August 25, 1941, with a coordinated multi-pronged attack by British and Soviet forces from the north, west, and south.
The Iranian military was quickly overwhelmed, and the capital, #Tehran, fell within a few weeks. "

"In 1941, #Britain and the #SovietUnion invaded Iran (also known as Persia) during World War II. The invasion, codenamed #OperationCountenance.
The joint operation primarily aimed at securing Iranian oil fields and supply lines to the Soviet Union, which was then fighting against Nazi Germany on the Eastern Front. Although Iran was officially neutral, its ruler, Reza Shah Pahlavi, was seen as sympathetic to the Axis powers"

The new, 3D printed landing gear bay fits. Now I have to push the one on the left inside the wing to replace it as well.

"The invasion was driven by a combination of strategic, economic, and political factors.
The Allies needed to secure supply routes to the Soviet Union, as the Persian Corridor through Iran was a vital logistical artery. They also feared a potential German advance through Iran toward the Baku oil fields or British India.
Ensuring access to Iranian oil reserves was crucial for both the British and Soviet war efforts."

Why stop at 1953?

@rbreich my question to #US citizens: when do you realise that saying 'it's disgraceful' won't stop this & you ultimately will have the make the choice Europeans made during #WW2: you tinker & become an accomplice to #fascism or you join an active #resistance movement. There is truly no alternative.
PS: yeah maybe you are making the right calculation, after all, more than 90% of the German population survived WW2 (25% of Jews & 30% of foreign nationals got killed)
Opps, I did it again. The landing gear mount fell into the wing. And now there is no chance to take it apart again.
My engineer has to think about a new solution now...
On June 15, 1936, the Westland Lysander made its debut flight. Originally designed as a recon & co-operation aircraft, it soon became obsolete in that role. But its short takeoff & landing abilities made it ideal for insertion of covert agents in occupied Europe.
Returning to the normal building shedule, wings have been added to the PZL237
Day 8: There seems to be 0.05g too few weight in the nose. Maybe to hook was too heavy. So my engineer has to find a solution.
Has to be completed tomorrow.
