Two of our main findings in the #policy #report#Financing the #green #transition
1. The main barrier to financing the necessary activities for the sustainable transition is their lack of bankability.
2. High greenhouse gas-emitting activities remain bankable and thus continue to attract financing. Green investments require de-risking policies and better financing conditions. For GHG-emitting investments, policies should increase risk and decrease returns in order to reduce their bankability

Whenever anyone describes gender as a spectrum, or suggests that non-binary exists somewhere "in-between" between man and woman, we think of this video by non-binary trans fem content creator, author, and influencer Elle Deran :NonBinaryHeart:

tiktok.com/@elle.deran/video/7

The transcript is as follows:

So gender isn't binary?
It's not.
It's a spectrum.
Not really.
Wait, I'm confused. I was taught that there was man and woman, and non-binary people fall somewhere in-between.
Well, you see how a spectrum still has two ends? So seeing gender in this linear fashion relies on binary thinking and positions man and woman as these sort of opposing opposites. Which they're not.
Well, then how am I supposed to see it?
Think of it like this. We culturally see the sun and the moon as these opposite entities, representing the light in the dark. And when we look at the sky, they might be all we can see. But the truth is that there are billions of other stars and moons in the universe. Our sun and moon aren't opposing opposite. They exist together at all times, along with billions and billions of planets and galaxies and other universal entities, all of which have overlapping similarities and differences. And as we evolve as humans, we learn more and more about the universe. So when we discover a new planet, we didn't just make it up. It didn't just come out of thin air or thin space.
Nah, haha.
It has been there all along. We have only brought it to light.
Right.
There are infinite ways to be a moon, infinite ways to be a star. And there is so much more to our universe than what we can see in the sky. There are infinite ways to be a woman, to be a man. To be non binary. Infinite ways to be a human. And at the end of the day, we are all just different expressions made up of the same stardust. So, you see, gender isn't binary. It's infinite.
Cool.
Yeah.

Thought some of y'all might find this interesting, whatever form your own gender has taken from the stardust 🫶🏻

www.tiktok.comTikTok - Make Your Day

Since my last #introduction was in January 2023 - a lifetime ago - it feels like time for a new one.

I'm Rebecca, a 43-year-old #queer woman and software engineer in Fort Collins, #Colorado. I'm married and parenting a sweet, also-queer 12-year-old kiddo.

I post a lot about my #transition journey:

* My egg cracked slowly from 2020-2022
* I started #HRT on 7/28/2023
* Came out publicly as #trans on 3/28/2024
* Had #VFS on 5/28/2025
* Have bottom surgery scheduled for 1/26/2026

Also posting about #parenting, queer life, #neurodiversity, and whatever my current hyper-focus is. Expect #train and #aviation stuff and a TON of selfies - some #NSFW, especially #kink (#shibari #rope are special joys). I use CWs for these.

I work in #healthcare #tech, where I help connect at-risk patients with faster care. I travel a lot for work and never say no to a window seat.

Here for queer joy, friendships, connection, and thoughtful conversation.

FYI, if you ever want to know what we sounded like back around 2004-2005 ish, the audio from the video within this post will give you a good idea.

We've not had the necessary combination of time, spoons, focus, motivation, and privacy to do a trans voice recording recently, so the last one we did was this rant / vent back at the end of January 2025.

(Polite request: even if you think our current voice sounds nice or femme, please don't comment that, as it really doesn't sound that way to us, to most other people on the phone, or to a lot of cis strangers 🥺)

Okay, woke up and feel quite a bit less sore around the incision site today than I did yesterday. Sleep, icepacks, and the occasional piankiller are working nicely.

The only things that kept me up a bit late at night? My #dogs begging for water refills right as I'm about to nod off, me switching out between one of my 3 icepacks as one of them stops being cold, and me getting up to have to go pee.

Great session about Exiting BigTech at the #PubConf2025 with @geertjan from @PublicSpaces, @sander from @waag, Slawek from @displayeurope @mbzita and Matthias from council for European Public Sphere, Vladimir from CMFE, the @PrototypeFund, @europeana and several other interesting parties.

I forgot to post about it, but yesterday was the two year anniversary of the first Pride-Walk in Eindhoven.

Which happens to be the two year anniversary of my Egg cracking for real. It took a bit longer to actually start my actual transition and it’s another 3 months until the completion of my social transition (which makes that part
really rapid!), but to some extend it is of course still a very important point in my Journey. 😊
