No.3 in an occasional series on antiques.

Jugs (pitchers) with a contrasting glaze to the neck and the top of the handle.
This style is associated with Doulton Lambeth (Royal Doulton from 1901) and the salt glazed jug with the green neck is a good example from 1902. My favourite, though, has got to be the blue Langley Pottery 1.5 pint jug (1930's) with the daffodils. I've never seen a blue glaze I like better. See alt text for more info.

Playing with the shapes.
I really enjoy playing with clay.
I cherish my zen, the calmness, the deep thoughts about what is possible and what is not.
To sit and fiddle and fuss, this is the first version in the thought of an antler on a doll's head.
The second version involves hand modeling, shaping, and brush-painted with gold glaze, the antler is in picture 2.
Many hours of work, fun, and cups of coffee, nervous evenings while the oven heated up to 1220⁰.

(Did you know 🤓 a lava flow runs at 700-1200⁰)

I 2023 prøvede en gruppe kunst qvinder og jeg med åbne et pop up galleri i de kolde vinter måneder.

Jeg skulle finde, på noget som, repræsenterende mig.
Som kunstner og keramiker
Så jeg bragte lidt sol og varme med til popup butikken.
Jeg nyder at, fordybe mig i det keramiske udtryk, forme mærke leret i mellem fingrene.

Denne er støbt, men efter bearbejdet i fugtig tilstand.
Jeg har formet den som en lille skål.
Givet den guldglasur, og krystal glasur.
Færdig brændt ved 1220 ⁰c
Sunflower i vintertøj
